This lesson has been designed to cover the Connections, Comparisons, and Communities ACTFL standards. It provide students with an opportunity to integrate the vocabulary, grammar, and culture concepts previously acquired:
- Nature
- Tourism
- Present tense of regular verbs
- Demonstrative adjectives and pronouns
- Prefixes
- Parks and tourism
Students and their teacher will watch the Spanish version of the vocabulary and grammar video together. Then, students must complete two engaging extension activities: Animales de mi estado y de Costa Rica and Un cuento corto, which will allow them to create projects that can be shared with their classmates or family to show the Spanish knowledge gained up to this point. Each activity includes its corresponding rubric.
